Then with an angry yell he reaches across the ropes and grabs her by the throat, dragging her into the ring. Instead, he turns to face Newbreed, Lia flailing in his grasp, striking at his elbow and kicking at his leg, trying to loosen the hold, but to no avail. Newbreed crouches and then leaps at Gretchen, but the Retched catches him by the throat, countering whatever move he was planning. As he and his partner struggle, Gretchen steps behind both of them, hooking one of his legs around one of each of theirs, then, with a mighty leap, he sweeps them out and delivers a double hangnail chokeslam!
He picks Newbreed up and throws him over the top rope, out of the ring, then picks Lia up and delivers a knee to the gut, stunning her. He then hoists her up into a power bomb position and delivers it over the top rope, tossing her down on top of Newbreed!
Then he forcefully tags Ashe Mayamoto and returns to his corner

*As the winners' hands are raised, Gretchen suddenly comes into the picture again, this time wielding a long handled dog noose. He dives across the ring and loops the noose around C-Dawg's neck, strangling him violently. He then moves to the side and shoves the long handle between the ropes and the ring, basing it on the floor and hauling until C-Dawg is immobilized, standing on his tip toes to keep from choking. Zarak hops into the ring, trying to stop Gretchen, but Retch sees him coming and hoists him up onto his shoulders, standing in a torture rack. He bounces Zarak twice, then spins him out, holding his head and pulling him down into a hurricane implant reverse ddt.
As the Linebreaker rolls away, holding his head, Gretchen slides out of the ring and picks up the ring steps, walking to where C-Dawg desperately scrambles to keep from slipping off the apron. "You want heat?! Here's your heat!" Gretchen hauls the steps up and slams them into C-Dawg's chest, finally knocking him from the apron. As he falls, the handle of the dog controlling noose bends, allowing his feet to hit the ground. Gretchen lifts the ring steps again, again slamming them into C-Dawg's chest. C-Dawg grabs his chest and finally slides his neck out of the noose, dropping to his knees, one hand holding his throat, the other his ribs.
Gretchen drops the ring steps and kicks C-Dawg hard in the gut, doubling him. Gretchen follows up with another hard kick, driving C-Dawg back agains the ring, and then another hard kick, dropping him to one knee. With C-Dawg kneeling, Gretchen begins to kick him in the head. He steps behind C-Dawg and hooks his right arm underneath C-Dawg's, hauling up and gripping the back of C-Dawg's head. He does it again, this time with C-Dawg's left arm, locking in a full nelson. He hauls upwards, shaking C-Dawg bodily, wrenching with the hold. He jerks to the right and begins turning with it, lifting C-Dawg off his feet and turning 360 degrees. As he returns to his original direction, he falls forward, slamming C-Dawg down face first... onto the ring steps. Gretchen releases the hold and stands up, kicking C-Dawg derisively as security finally gets to the ringside and attempts to escort him. Gretchen ignores the horde and walks his own way out.
