CHARACTER NOTES:
In Japan, women's wrestling gets more coverage and respect than anywhere else in the world. As a result, it's much harder to make it there than it is elsewhere. The training is rigerous and many ladies wash out after only a few weeks or months. That is precisely what happened to Hitomi Sakai.
Moving to America to pursue her in ring career, "The Jade Flower," as she is called for her beautifully delicate features, looked to the independant promotions in and around Nashville, Tennessee. One of the larger indy circuits was featuring some young Japanese talent, and among them was a talented youngster named Megumi Takasugi. The two ladies became fast friends and started training together, with Megumi showing Hitomi much of what she missed after washing out in Japan's wrestling dojos.
Working with Megumi, studying old tapes of some great American tag teams, and going through training at the UWE Madhouse, Hitomi is finally ready to go for the gold. Together with Megumi, under the name The Rising Sun Express, chosen in honor of a legendary tag team that inspired them to tag up, they have the potential to be the best tag team in UWE.
