CHARACTER NOTES:

While many friendly rivalries started in the UWE Madhouse, this one turned into a full blown-feud. Pam Packard quickly hooked up with Jane Roberts and Vicky Hamlin upon joining the Madhouse. The three California Girls planned to work together in UWE as The Cali Connection, a three woman team, under names “Malibu” Jane, “Venice Beach” Vicky, and “Newport” Pam. The three trained together and their styles complemented each others extremely well. All seemed well, until the final exam and the try-out matches for the first group of UWE female superstars.

Through the random draw used by the trainers to choose opponents, Pam ended up against Jane. Though Pam dominated the action, Jane wouldn’t give in. After 30 minutes, with Pam holding the advantage for more than 20 of those minutes, the match was declared a draw. For her heart and determination, Jane was given a spot on the squad, however Pam, who just couldn’t finish off her opponent, was declared an alternate. She was furious and blamed Jane for the failure, claiming that she was jealous and simply prolonged the match to make her look bad.

While that is blatantly untrue, the utter destruction of “Malibu” Jane, half of The Cali Connection, has become an obsession. The fact that Jane and Vicky continue to use The Cali Connection name doesn’t help. She is every bit the equal of both Jane and Vicky in every regard, but is more than willing to bend the occasional rule if it gets her closer to her goal… ending “Malibu” Jane and “Venice Beach” Vicky’s careers.
