D-Dawg came in leading the BXCW team when they challenged the UWF over right of name. D-Dawg left his mark on the hardcore machine Hostile that day when he temporarily blinded him with black paint. On that day, he used the name Darkness and the paint represented the name.

From there on, when he wrestled as a UWF'er, he used the name D-Dawg (Darkness-Dawg) and quickly became one of the top guys. He went from being on the same side as former BXCW team mate Raze to becoming worst enemies with him. The two had one of the biggest rivalrys ever, with D-Dawg also going for Raze's X Division title in that time.

D-Dawg has a very aggressive, rough attitude when it comes to wrestling. He goes into a match with the optimistic mindset and attitude that he is going to win.
