NZ family trip.  22 December 2003-7 January 2004
So my family came and visited me.  Originally it was just going to be my parents, but then it grew.  My brother and sister were going to come along, then an aunt jumped on board.  Eventually it was my parents, two siblings, three aunts, an uncle, two cousins and my cousin's girlfriend.  Ah, it was a grand adventure : ) We started in Dunedin and made our way progressively to Christchurch, then Queenstown, then Te Anau, eventually circling back to Dunedin whee they flew out on 7 January.
So this is the whole group at the Moeraki boulders.  And at the beach at Karitane.  Trust me, they loved being in shorts and on the beach the day after Christmas.  Especally since most of them had come from snow to summer : )
Went hiking Christmas eve with, starting at the top, my cousin Peter, his girlfriend Lisa, and my sister, Beth.  My aunt Linda was taking the picture.  And below, the group at the end of the trip, in Dunedin at the Otago University.  Have to have a picture of the Registry Building! : )
Below, my aunt Linda and I went up the Crown Range Road from Queenstown to Wanaka, fantastic scenery!
While in Queenstown, we also took a jet boat ride on the Shotover River. Fantastic, fun, and a little bit wet, hense the black raincoats everyone is wearing : )
To the right, a waterfall in Doubtful Sound, everyone loved being in there, and below, I'm at Slope Point.  The southernmost point of the South Island.  That's 5140km to the equator and 4803km to the South Pole.
