Islamic designs are mostly geometric patterns, since Isalm forbids the depiction of living things... (faces and tigers in the design to the right were probably to honor Zorostrainism, the religion that existed in the region before Islam - the worship of fire) Just thinking about ALL the work that went into these designs makes me tired...
