21.04.04: so here we are: bearly a week before the Mayhem Tournament and we're all finalising our army lists and franticly painting (well i am any way) to finish in time. Sam's and Josh's army lists are on their sections and Jimmy's and James' are going up soon.
Last weekend we played a mini tournament (just us four) to see how our armies would perform and get used to the missions. These are good for indentifing any major weaknesses in an army before taking it. Josh won with a massacre (against Jamie), a draw (against James) and a minor loss (against sam), and it proved that Sam's army isn't as invincible as we tought, as he suffered a crushing defeat against Jamie's Ultramarines (who arn't renowned for winning), and James has manged to fiddle the points (without cheating) to include a Monalith and scarab swarms (and there was much rejoicing-yay), and dismissed the idea of a witch hunter/guard army for a better balanced necron army. Of course i had i make a quiz, for a bit of laugh and i'll try and pu it up. |

02.04.04: Well it look likes our chances of winning this year have been dashed by taking cool armies instead of beardy ones (all except Sam and his poncy eldar), Josh has decided to take an iron hands army that isnt beardy and is gona get kicked, Jamies' Ultramarines are a balanced army and so are cool but not tournament winning, James' necrons are also cool but he hasn't found the right balance, although i have been hearing muttering from him about taking a guard army again with inducted Witch Hunters, somthing about toughness 5, power weapon weilding flagellants (i hear the distent rumble of: Muahahahahah), we're also considering Damn we lost again as a team name in the up coming tournament, i'll try to put our army list up soon. |

The uzi toting monkies are gearing up for the next tournament at the start of May. The mayhem tournament (1st and 2nd May)is a 40k 1500pt tournament, and we hoping to do better than we did last year (at the last one we came 12th out of 14 teams).
It looks like James is taking Necrons, Jamie' taking Ultramarine, Josh' taking the lost and the damed and Sam is probable taking his Ulthwe. |
