K&N Filter Mod
Ok, i know a K&N filter is supposed to be a drop in affair, but i have the wrong one. My friend has an 88 Camaro with a 305 TBI, and he got a whole new air cleaner and game me his old one. I put it in and the filter was too tall to let the air cleaner seal, so i just left it. Yes i felt a little more power but nothing significant since the filters kinda dirty.

After a while, i sat back and though, since i polished my air cleaner and it looked kinda like crap, i thought, i could use the old muscle car trick of turning it upsidedown and polishing up the bottum. I disconected the vaccume lines from the lid and just plugged the one with the red stripe with a screw and just took th other one off, that was for the manifold heat riser.

I then just polished the underside of the lid using steel wool and a metal polish and it was shiny. I centered up the filter and then put the lid on upside down and tightened it down. The cars a little louder, which is always good. Got a little bit more power than just before and i think it looks better since the lid isnt all scarred up.
