I scored a full set of turbo coupe seats from an 86 at the junkyard for 45 bucks. The one on the left is what they looked like when they came out, the on on the right is how they're gonna look once i finish using fabric dye on em. I used 3 cans of Plasticoat black and 1 can of grey, but i wish i had 2 cans, i didnt get enough on the back seat. All i did was light coats, and between coats, let it dry and gave it a good brush down with a scrub brush to loosen the fibers up for better coverage. Once i got all the seats finished, i mountd the tracks on the front seats. Oh, removal of the front seats was pretty easy, up front it 2 half inch bolts, and in the rear, its one half inch nut and and 18mm nut. The rear seat was easy. All ya gotta do to get the bottom of the rear seat out is reach between the seats and pull the bottom of the back seatup and get it verticle and it will come out. The top of it is 2 torq's head, i think they were T45 sized, the same bolt holds the seat belts. Once thoes are out, just push up on the seat and itll pop out. Putting the seats back in are reverse order basically. NOTE: if yuo have a power seat, make sure you plug it back in, you get the wire colors lined up right, you can plug it in upside down and your seat will act funny. |
