Virtual ID's 1st Home
#01-07 Upper Thomson Road, Thomson Imperial Court
- Virtual ID's 1st shop opened its doors in July 2000.
- Virtual ID's humble beginings started with this half-shop shared with a boutique (Boutique 08).
- It started as a partnership between Mr. Claudius Ng, Mr. Mohd Shaufi and Mr. Eugene Tan.
- Initial operations started with just 14 Pentium III PCs
- PCs running at 667 MHz, graphics were provided by 32 Mb Riva TNT2 cards.
- Initial rates were $3.50 / hr & $4.50 / hr for members and non-members respectively (unheard of by today's standards!)
- In Sep 2001 another 6 PCs running at 733 MHz were added bring the total to 20.

- Virtual ID was also homebase of several outstanding Counterstrike clans.
- Virtual ID also sponsored the reasonably successful ]R.3[M] clan (see notice below).
Virtual ID's 2nd Home
#01-10 Upper Thomson Road, Thomson Imperial Court
- Virtual ID moved to its 2nd home in Aug 2002.
- This was half of a half-shop (effectively a quarter shop!) and had a floor area of only 400sq ft!
- This shop was shared with the Waterlink Cafe (a bubble-tea shop).
- Due to the smaller size of the shop, only 18 PCs could be crammed into the shop space.
- The shop was in fact so small that when customers sat down on opposite chairs there was hardly any room left to walk through the aisle! (see pictures below)

Victory!! We've cleared all the tables! (From left: Robin (Prozac), Han Yeong (vthy88) & Justin)
ViD2 was where we went way ahead of the competition by being the 1st in Singapore to provide Pentium 4 PC's with state-of-the art GeForce 4 Titanium graphics cards!
"The writing's on the wall (or on the screen)!" This was the PC "splash screen" used to announce our pending shift to the Thomson Community Club. Notice the formation "flypast" of various DC (Desert Combat) aircraft. A testament to the number of skilled pilots ViD has produced (not easy matching speed with a slow lumbering AC-130 when you are in a supersonic fighter jet (no bots involved!). Sadly, one of the pilots in this formation, Perry, had passed away in 2005. His memory and legacy shall live on...
The GREAT SHIFT to Thomson Community Club...
