Parents: William 4 and Sarah ?

Names of children are known from Petition filed in their behalf by their Uncle Richard Ruffin against their Uncle William Ruffin about the distribution of their grandfather William Ruffin's estate. Also by their father's will. Their father died when they were all quite small...we estimate that Faith married around 1758, and John was dead by 1764.

to my son EDWIN BRIDGERS, my plantation whereon I live and all the land
thereunto belonging and also the swampland I purchased of JAMES BRYANT.

my loving wife FAITH to live on said plantation during her widowhood.

to daughters SARAH and PURITY and son BRITAIN BRIDGERS,  negroes, bed,
furniture.
to wife, FAITH, negroes and their increase and all the remaining part of my
personal estate, labor of slaves to be used to school and bring up my children
til they arrive at age or marry.
