OCTOBER FUN
On Wednesday, October 18th, the troop went to Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Patch in Riner, VA. It was a fun filled afternoon starting with a hay ride to the barn. There we got to feed 2 week old calfs, an 18 month old horse, peacocks, bunnies, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, and a donkey. Then we hopped back onto the to wagon and took a trip up to the pumpkin patch to select our pumpkins. The largest pumpkin was picked by Sarah and the smallest by Jordan. We had a great time.
On Thursday, October 19th, the troop will be painting on the playground at school. This is part of a community service project as well as working on our "Colors and Shapes" Try-it.

On Saturday, October 21st, the school will be having their annual FUN FEST. Most of the troop will be coming to play the games and to have a great time. There will be face painting, cake walk, pumpkin walk, put-put golf, fishing, spinning, haunted house, cave boxes, you name - it will be there. There will also be T-Shirts available for the event.
October 31st is Juliette Low's birthday. We will be celebrating by having a birthday party for her at our meeting.
Our first meeting of the month was Thursday, October 5th. This was a first real meeting of the year. We played a few "get to know each other games" and worked on a few activites that will go toward our Try-it goals for the year. We also had to say good-bye to our assistant leader, who had to move. We wish her well and hope that they can come and visit.
