OCTOBER
FUN
On Wednesday, October 18th, the troop went to Sinkland Farms Pumpkin Patch in Riner, VA.  It was a fun filled afternoon starting with a hay ride to the barn.  There we got to feed 2 week old calfs, an 18 month old horse, peacocks, bunnies, sheep, goats, chickens, geese, and a donkey.  Then we hopped back onto the to wagon and took a trip up to the pumpkin patch to select our pumpkins.  The largest pumpkin was picked by Sarah and the smallest by Jordan.  We had a great time.
On Thursday, October 19th, the troop will be painting on the playground at school.  This is part of a
community service project as well as working on our "Colors and Shapes" Try-it.
Some of the Pictures of these events are no linked.  You may click the name or date above to see them.  More are still to come.  Please check back.
On Saturday, October 21st, the school will be having their annual FUN FEST.   Most of the troop will be
coming to play the games and to have a great time.  There will be face painting, cake walk, pumpkin walk,
put-put golf, fishing, spinning, haunted house, cave boxes, you name - it will be there.  There will also be
T-Shirts available for the event.
October 31st is Juliette Low's birthday.
We will be celebrating by having a birthday party for her at our meeting.
Our first meeting of the month was Thursday, October 5th.  This was a first real meeting of the year.  We played a few "get to know each other games" and worked on a few activites that will go toward our Try-it
goals for the year.  We also had to say good-bye to our assistant leader, who had to move.  We wish her
well and hope that they can come and visit.
