In Nov of 2000 we made 60 stain glass window sun catchers for a local nursing home. We packaged each one up in a small cello bag with the suction holder, tied off with a bow and a "Thinking of You" note. All these bags were placed inside a large basket with a big bow on the side. (Nov 2000) |

As an ongoing service project we are collecting and turning in the pop tops from cans to the Ronald McDonald house within our area. They recycle these to help the funding of the house expenses. The organization we very friendly and helpful and even sent us little cardboard boxes shaped like houses to collect our tabs in. How EXCITING! So far in 2002 we have sent in two boxes of tabs equalling 9.3 lbs. With our previous totals (8.7 lbs in 2000 (plus a few boxes of Girl Scout cookies) and 15 lbs in 2001) we have sent in 33 lbs of pop tabs. WAY TO GO GIRLS! |
