Change textures,modifying "copmiledImage.pak", part II | ||||||||
In this tutorial i will try to explain you what files "compiled Image" has. First you have to read the other "texure" tutorial. All the files in compiledImage.pak are ximgs. To modify you have to use the same method as the previous tutorial with "supermans" armor. Actually to be honest :P it's more a list than a tutorial. Just information about every folder. When you have finished you will be able to change almost every texture in Gothic3-except of the weapons which i can't still figure out how to open them! | ||||||||
__gui_hud = Here you can find every "gui" file you won't except of the icons. Crosshairs,maps, epilog "cards" e.t.c are all here __gui_icons = As i said here are located the icons of the game. Potions,Weapons, evrything!! _Intern = Marvin mode. Everything about marvin. The cursor, the backround image, and even the letters!!! animation = Armors, Faces, Hair, Skins e.t.c. There is a special tutorial for animation file with an example here. __gui_compiled = Compass, map e.t.c. It's a bit strange that every gui file can be found in the gui pak too! __gui_themes = Every "button" including the cursor can be found here. _special = Enviroment textures? The sure is that they are as special as the folder name editsupporter = If you have found any edit supporter in the game tell it to me because here are some of his graphic files effects = Spell effects textures. Some of the may have an animation in one tga so be carefull items = Let's see....Animal trophies,hair,helms,weapons...HELMS? WEAPONS? WTF? It's weid because there only two-three weapons. level = The level,eyecandy textures- rocks, flags,e.t.c. Personally i believe that you don't have to change especially these because these graphics cannot be better! masterhuman = I don't know about you but i found a Gothic 2 armor, This game is really strange :P sky = Here you can change whatever is in sky. The sky, the sun, the moon, snow, rain, sun reflection etc speedtree = The texture of all ingame trees startscreen = Everything which has to do with the main menu. I can 't understand what is the difference between gui's,pak files. testlevel = Can't figure out what they are. They look like level textures. That's all. As you can see compiledImage is a bit messy. If i find how to open the xmsch files(the weapons and items), which are in compiledMesh, we'll be able to change every texture in the game! |
