Vahn's appearance has changed slightly over the many years within Ayenee. When he first arrived as a child of no more than ten years of age, the young prince was garbed in quite elegant clothing, rich velvet blue robe embroidered with a golden trim. Enshrouding a simple white silk tunic and bage trousers, both small to fit the child's size, the robe attracted quite the attention quickly. Attention unwanted by a young boy in a world alone. Soon he rid his appearance of the robe, gaining him a moderate pouch of silver and gold. Unable to use his now late father's blade, Vahn kept it within the crashed airship of his throughout most of his early childuse, adorning smaller weapons such as daggers and dirks and even bow staffs to help defend himself against different wild beasts and individuals and to help along the work of the few fellow orphaned children he'd come across and began to travel with. It wouldn't be until many seasons later when he was approaching young adult hood that Vahn would begin to wield the blade of his lineage, the blade of the Aloo'ra Tek. Around this era of his life, he adorned no armor..Strands of different shades of auburn having grown quite lengthy in his tieme here, it having been nigh shoulder length at his age of arrival. Having long since grown from his young royal attire, Vahn addorned that which was simple, flexible. A sleevlesss tunic, hem draping over light brown trousers, larger to suit his older physique. His father's belt and scabbard were now worn to have the hilt resting near his left hip, as the larger blade was better suited to his older frame. Around this time, his views on Ayenee had become a bit skewed from what travesties he'd already bared witness to whilst within Ayenee. But even so, he took on the begining of his mercenary work with a somewhat optimistic view. He would do what he had gotten good at while surviving, battling and killing, earning more and more silver and gold as a blade for hire. With hopes of one day returning hope to rebuild at least some of what he had lost. Throughout the years however, different involvements have soured his view and the goal became nothing more than a seldom remembered dream. Upon taking a job from a traveler met within the large village, Koricalus, the very village which resides north of the location where Vahn's tavern now resides, Vahn set out through the large forestry, battling through the thick assortment of hostile creatures within, to find the massive cave near the southern edge of the woodland perimeter. Within would be found a black chaos dragon and the traveler was specific about what he desired from the ebast. A single nail from the creature's left hind claw. Having triumphed through arduous yet yearned for battle, Vahn received a decent sum for the nail, along with a sum of scales in which he then set out to create himself armor riveted with the scales. To this day, his form can be found adorning the torso armor plated with the black scales of the beast, along with the greaves riveted alike, protecting his legs from the knee down. Having rid the forest of a tyrant, an elderly man had taken notice in Vahn's ability and consulted on a plan, the beginings of a firm friendship which would last for years to come as the man would create a tavern within the forest, and have Vahn stop by occasionally to rid the forest of it's lesser nuisances, shadow beasts. Such creatures overruning the forest prevented previous settling of any type of civil life and now with the numbers dwindled, the man, Bobis, could establish his tavern. Years later, it now serves as Vahn's own establishment and even at times a home. When not out traveling about, Vahn can be found within the tavern, attempting to keep employees within his payroll to tend to his tavern. Such attires would consist of an assortment of not so exciting black and white tunics and different shades of brown trousers. The same is found 'pon his frame with the addition to a leather jerkin laying 'neath the padded inner side of the scaled torso armor. The scabbard containing the legacy of his ancestory usualy lies situated over his back to lift the hilt above his right shoulder, the leather strap of the scabbard buckling across his chest over the armor.. Though ocassionally he can still be found wearing his father's belt and scabbard to carry the blade. When he's off traveling about, claiming no refuge as his home aside from temporary residence taken where ever he finds it fit to lay his head, the mercenary usually adorns about his frame a darkly colored cloak, shrouding the entirety of his figure from the neck down. Also found usually when him on long travels is a compact roll of blanket, small enough to rest strapped beneath the armor over his back, situating the fabrics over his lower back. So small is the roll that it is almost never noticeable through the wavering of the cloak. Several pouches hand from his left and right hips from leather thread tied unto the belt near the rear of his thighs 'hind two dagger sheathes made into the same belt 'round his waist, one dagger at each hip. The assortment of items within the pouches differs, silver and gold are always 'pon his frame within one, perhaps two. . Lockpicking tools sometimes are taken when Vahn might suspect they could come in use, usually for different jobs. Different types of pain relievers are at times carried as well, ranging from blunt impacts to slice wounds and even different poison types. Herbal remedies mixed and doted 'pon with magick through different techniques. Such techniques Vahn tempts to stab at learning whenever contact is made with alchemists and magick renderations of such are made, which isn't often. One reason why the items are usually left from his personage, as they are difficult to come by. Along with the dagger at each hip, there is also another within a sheath at his left leg, made into the scaled greaves adorned as armor and scabbard. The torso armor as of this date is quite worn, and has seen much battle. Vahn has even had to repair it on more than one ocassion and even alter it slightly after a certain impressive battle with a close friend and allie. The leather sleaves bonded with rivets to the alloys composing the armor over the begining of the shoulder were completely destroyed to the point of dust settling with the rest of the debree, the solid frame of the armor itself having been blown from his personage and even sustaining slight structural damages, several regions of scale having been torn asunder. The armor was repaired with deligent care and a relentless will. The armor now adorns shoulder pads of a thick durable leather encompassing warped, thin alloys, riveted with the light, black scales. Adding a bit more weight than before, yet a trade off Vahn found beneficial. Movement of his arms at the joint were less constricted, as the shoulder pad additions shifted against the armor to bend with the movement, requiring little pressure to do so. The additions also give Vahn's shoulders a slightly more broad appearance 'neath the deceiving veil of the cloak. Only his father's blade would be visible, more over only the hilt and guard as the top end of the scabbard just barely finds itself protruded between his neck and the collar of the cloak. His hair had been cut years back, shortly after meeting a young woman named Kayura, who had become a good friend. She'd convinced him that change could be good, and thus he experimented. | |||||||||||||||||
