(Modified) Kyoto-Harvard Convention
We generally follow Kyoto-Harvard convention but we will make following violations:
- Instead of G and J we will use m or n respectively. It is obvious that an m followed by a guttural should be pronounced as G and an n followed by a dental should be pronounced as J.
- We hate to use z; so we use s instead. We are sure our readers can figure out the correct letter depending on the context.
- For the retroflex l, we use L instead of the confusing f. As the vowel L is never used on this site, there would be no conflict.
Following are the letters of deva nagari alphabet, vowels followed by consonants.
Using this notation the term 'Kyoto Harvard Convention' will have to be written as 'kyoTo hArvarD kanvenSan'
