Quiche Lorraine

~~ Quiche has always been one of my favorite treats. This recipe was the one my mom would make for my family, and the first one I made as a married woman. ~~


9in pie crust, unbaked

12 slices bacon, fried and crumbled

1 cup shredded swiss cheese

1/3 cup minced onion

4 eggs

2 cups whipping cream

3/4 tsp. salt

1/8 tsp. red pepper

1/4 tsp. sugar


1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.


2. Prepare pie crust and position in pan. Sprinkle bacon, cheese and onion inside.


3. Beat eggs with all remaining ingedients. Pour cream mixture into pan.


4. Bake for 15 minutes.


5. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 30 minutes longer. Let it stand 10 minutes after removing from oven before serving.
