Melty Pizza "Cheese"
From "20 Minutes to Dinner"
1 cup water 1/4 cup nutritional yeast 2 tablespoons cornstarch 1 tablespoon flour 1 teaspoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1. Place all ingredients in blender until smooth. Pour in small saucepan, stir over medium heat
until sauce starts to thicken; let bubble 30 seconds. Whisk vigorously in 2 tablespoons water.
Drizzle immediately over pizza and bake until skim forms. 2. Refrigerate in covered container up to 1 week. Will become firm when chilled but spreadable. CHEESY SAUCE FOR VEGGIES OR BAKED POTATOES: Use 1/3 cup nutritional yeast and 1/4 tespoon each paprika and mustard powder, only
1/4 teaspoon salt, and 1 tablespoon miso to blended mixture. Whip in 3/4 cup
non-dairy milk and heat thoroughly. Makes 1 1/4 cups.
