   1      cup           all-purpose flour
   1      teaspoon      baking powder
     1/4  teaspoon      baking soda
     1/2  teaspoon      cinnamon
     1/4  teaspoon      nutmeg
     1/4  teaspoon      ginger
   2      pinches       cloves
   2                    eggs -- beaten
   3      tablespoons   melted margarine -- or
                        - melted butter or vegetable oil
   1      cup           unsweetened concentrated apple juice -- defrosted
                        - at room temperature
   2      cups          mashed pumpkin -- cooked or canned
     1/3  cup           skim milk

Oil the bottom of a 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger
and cloves. Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat together eggs, butter, apple
juice, pumpkin and milk until blended. Fold in flour mixture until well
blended. Pour into prepared dish. Bake until brown and firm in centre,
