SWEET AND SOUR GROUND BEEF 1 pound ground beef 1 pound frozen mixed broccoli and carrots 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon dried ginger 2 cloves garlic, minced 1/8 teaspoon pepper 8 ounces canned pineapple tidbits, drained, juice reserved 2 tablespoons soy sauce 1 tablespoon white vinegar 1 tablespoon sugar 1 tablespoon cornstarch 3 tablespoons water 1. Brown ground beef in large skillet, then drain. Add vegetables, brown sugar, ginger, garlic, pepper,
reserved pineapple juice, soy sauce, and vinegar and stir well. Bring to a boil. 2. Reduce heat and cover skillet; simmer for 6 minutes until vegetables are crisp tender. Add pineapple and stir. 3. Combine cornstarch and water in small bowl and stir until smooth. Add to skillet; cook and stir until sauce thickens and boils. 4. Serve over rice or noodles. Serves 4.
