· Appearance: Kendry has short brown hair that is straight, but sometimes frizzes. Her eyes are Companion blue, absolutly beautiful in their own way. She's tall for a ten-year-old at 5'1", and promises to grow even more. She can ride like a leech and run like the wind when she wants to. Her oval face has the strong bones of a person who will be called handsome when she's older, and will age well, but she's never going to be beautiful. Not that Kendry minds. The absolute tomboy, Kendry likes to wear sturdy clothes than can take beatings.
· Personality: Kendry hates bullies, she knows fighting, because her temper and habit of fighting them have given her brothers cause to teach her to fight. Kendry believes firmly in the good of everyone, even if it doesn't seem like there could be good in them. Her innocent, happy way makes other smile, even though there is a touch of adult about her, even now. Kendry has the touching heart and often shows other signs that she will make a good queen one day.
· History: Kendry was born in Karse, the youngest of seven children and the only girl. Born years after her brothers, to her parents in their old age, she has been indulged, but not spoiled. At the age of two, she was betrothed to the Rethwellan crown prince, for a treaty with Karse, because of her parents' royal bloodties. Raised knowing that if she were Chosen she could become the Queen of Valdemar, Keladry, like her brothers, has been raised to rule. Her oldest brother married the Karsite King's daughter. The next was married to a Hardorn Princess, the rest have married into Karsite nobility, or entered the Priesthood.
When she was celebrating her tenth birthday one her new pony, Vendra found her and Chose her. He brought her back to her home, and she was sent into Valdemar alone, at Vendra's request. Together, they traveled onward into Winter's Reach, where the Heralds gathered in secret to recover and prepare the way for a new generation of Heralds.
