• Pitch to hit: I can't speak for other hitters, but the fastball is the pitch I want to hit most. That's what you see the most - off pitching machines and batting practice. So that's the pitch hitters are most familiar with.
• Baseball item: It's a toss up between the glove I've used the last five years and my batting champion trophy.
• Homer: My 40th homer in 1998 is probably my most memorable. But I have a pretty good memory. I can remember just about every home run I've hit. If you remind me about the situation, I can remember what pitch and where I hit it out.
• Part of the game: I think defense is probably the most fun - just because it’s fun when you go out and make a great play to help out the team. When you’re in the box (hitting), it's more of an individual battle between you and the pitcher.
• Practical joke either you've pulled or pulled on you: I had to wear wedding dress with high heels and sign autographs after a game in KC my rookie year.
• Memory growing up in New York: Asking dad to give me a dollar for pizza and I'd go to the pizza store for a pizza and play pinball all day.
