Sensuality, passion, love, romance--at some point in our lives we each experience these emotions at various levels. The power they emanate is often felt but not easily grasped. I do not pretend to grasp this power through these paintings, but I try to re-create them as best as I can. For you to recognise, receive, and incur this power, however, depends on your exposure and sensitivity to emotions stirred by relationships and intimacy. Since I am partially a product and a celebrant of that aspect of intimacy that brings dissimilar cultures together, I have also somewhat addressed this factor here, although we must individually make of it whatever we choose to.
