Bloodshot
Gangster
Angello Mortalli had his fate sealed when he
cheated on his wife, the daughter of crime boss
Gino Canelli. Canelli arranged for Mortalli to be
used as a guinea pig for Project: Rising Spirit
(PRS), a research project using synthetic plasma
and microscopic computers called nanites to make
a human the ultimate killing machine. Mortalli
was injected with the nanites, and had his memory
erased. The nanites gave him total body control,
healing him from almost any wound, and having
files contained in them that allow Bloodshot (the
name given him at PRS) access to knowledge of
hundreds of fighting styles and techniques. The
nanites also awakened a dormant Harbinger ability
within him to control complex machinery and
computers. Escaping PRS, Bloodshot befriended
Gilad Abrams, the Eternal Warrior, and through
him came to be in the employ of Neville Alcott,
former head of Britain's MI-6. Bloodshot, or
Michael Lazarus as he is now known, performs
missions worldwide for Neville, and the safety of
the world at large alongside heroes such as
Gilad, X-O Manowar, Solar, and Turok. |
Deathangel
Born Jillian
Mary Alcott, she is daughter of former MI-6
leader Neville Alcott. When she was gravely
injured, her life was saved by an emergency
transfusion from Bloodshot. His nanite enhanced
blood also granted her abilities similar to his
own.
