Summary of my trip
Now it's time for a babble about my awesome trip.

First, I love the history and culture of Barcelona. I thought it was funny how they put fast food joints in beautiful buildings that are older than my country! I don't get to see much history in America, so I enjoyed getting to experience so much of it there. I looked like the typical tourist taking pictures constantly of buildings that everyone there is just used to!

Second best part of Barcelona is the climate and scenery. It doesn't get too hot or too cold, and I love how you can take a short trip from Barcelona and see snow capped mountains, countryside, the ocean, forests, etc. I don't have that luxury here. If I want to see anything nature-like, I have to drive very far. Also, the sky is so much bluer in Barcelona!!!

America needs to look into their public transportation! I could take a train almost anywhere for cheap, and the trains run frequently! Sure, you could probably take a train or a bus to almost anywhere here, but it costs so much money. Also, it takes so long to get anywhere by train here.

Unfortunately, everyone there smokes everywhere. I get headaches from smoke, so that stunk. That was the only downside of Barcelona.

Cava and Fanta are the greatest drinks ever! They put real juice in Fanta! Speaking of juice, the juicers over there are awesome. I want to get one. If anybody wants to buy me a belated Christmas gift, get me that!

I feel like I live in a bubble. I met this 21 year old girl Liz from Australia who has seen more at her age than I'll probably see in my life! I couldn't keep track of all the countries that she's lived in for a considerable amount of time. She's really getting to experience so many different places and cultures while I'm just taking a short vacation. This was also what made me extremely glad I decided not to do the guided tour thing. Instead of going around in a big group just looking at stuff, we had to do some reading, talk to people, and make decisions for ourselves on what we wanted to see. Plus, some of our excursions into towns where no one spoke English definitely gave us "experiences."

Everyone needs to stay in a youth hostel at one time during their lives. It's interesting. Not much more I can say about that!

Well, that's about all for my babble (thank you if you've actually read all of it!) Barcelona was great, and I can't wait to travel somewhere new and exciting again someday. The list of places I want to hit is long, so I better get started soon!

iAdios!
