Larinda breaking trail.  First attempt failed.  See picture below.
Those mountains are where we are going
Getting into the high country
We did make it up this trail after I backed up and got a run at it.
12 inches of ground clearance wasn't enough!
This was the first time we have had our atvs in deep snow and the first time for having the grizzlies in snow.  Even with the stock tires, these atvs chewed through the snow up to about 14" deep.  We had to start working the machines as the snow became deeper in the higher elevations.  It was all powder and light.  There were places where the snow was over two in the drifts and the machines plowed right through it.  However,  those smooth underbellies got Larindas grizzly stuck pretty good in about three feet of snow.  Her machine was on top of it.  It was easily pulled out by mine.  Reverse rpm limmiter did hinder us in the deep snow.  There were many places where we had to make multiple attempts to get through.  Also, 4wd diff lock limiting to 22mph was making the engine sputter.  After 4 hours climbing into the high country, I have to say that was the most fun I have had on a 4 wheeler yet:)
