Louis Riel: |
The Canadian Wild, Wild West! |
| |
A few years ago Louis Riel was finally recognized as a founding father of the confederation. He was the founder of the province of Manitoba andvery activly promoted human, linguistic and minority rights an hundred years before almost every body else in Canada.
115 years after being hang for treason for having done so, the court of public opinion made him the fifth most popular personality n Canadian history.
I am an admirator of these few people who, troughout history, sacrified work and life only to help other, victimized fellow human beings. Louis Riel was one of them, and it is about time that Canadians show some gratitude toward their true heros.
