The fastest way to get to Valle de Vida Residential Compound and Tree Farm would be via Cagayan de Oro City, located in Misamis Oriental. To get to Cagayan de Oro, there are two options, the boat; but then, this would take more of your time, being approximately 36 hours from Manila, however, if travelling with a group, this means is highly suggested. Friends could definitely add up to the fun. The other option, when alone, or when time is treasured, the plane gets you here faster. Via Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific or Air Philippines the flight would take approximately an hour and twenty minutes. Upon arriving at the City of Golden Friendship - Cagayan de Oro, one travels towards towards the North. Public airconditioned buses are available and would take approximately 2 hours, and the cost around seventy five pesos (Php 75.00 or one American dollar and fifty cents (U$1.50) The estimated distance is 93 kilometers. One passes through the main National Highway, going through the Municipalities and towns. of Tagoloan, Villanueva, Jasaan, Balingasag, Lagonglong, Salay, Binuangan, Sugbongcogon, Kinuguitan, Esperanza, Balinguan, Talisayan and finally, Medina. From the National highway, one disembarks at Tambagan waiting shed found on the right side of the highway. One passes through Barangay Mananum-Daan. From there, one has a choice of taking the muddy barangay road of Barangay San Isidro or the rocky Provincial Road via Mananum-Daan. It is estimated to be a 7 kilometer drive up to Valle de Vida. When in Tambagan, motorcycle rides are available. These motorcycles are called "habal-habal". The "Knievel" motorcycle drivers would charge approximately sixty pesos (Php60.00) or one american dollar (US$1.00) on a non-stop drive to Valle de Vida.
