The fairies of the mountain are no so different than those in the forest.  Though these are protectors of their land they watch over the growth of the trees and the animal life as though it were all their own children.  The fairies are small woman, bigger than pixies, though not by much.  They have multi color and types of wings to be found.  Some look like butterflies, others have wings like that of a fly, or they might have irridescent colors which span through full rapid beating wings.  They seldom can take a larger size, though there are a few of the leaders which have been blessed with such a gift.  Where they can become as tall as a mortal woman instead of their natural pint size.  They enjoy to play and often have games with one another.  There are old churches and statues up in the mountains which have long been forgotten, these usually are the homes to the fairies and angels alike.  The mountain fairies are though very protective of their land.  If someone comes along they can be very suspicious, sometimes quick to act against them.  It is said that if you find a tiny bracelette or jewelery on the ground it is a trick of the fairies.  Leave it be for the fairies would come after you to take it back and worse.   But if you were to leave it there, they may watch you, let leave you on your way.
