The unicorn is a univeral creature.  Anyone and everyone would know what the name means.  The unicorns in the valley are pure of heart and strong of willed.  Innocent creatures of the forest, they roam, surrounding most of the creatures with a peace.  Their horn is the source of their majestic powers that thrive within them and to those they effect.  To cut off a unicorn's horn is to kill the beast itself.  Living in herds they graze and move together through the forest.  Though their blood has the ability to create immortals none have any need of it.  Which is why the forest is a perfect refuge for the beauty.  It was once hunted but is now safe with the other friendly creatures of the forest. Though most unicorns are white, some in the valley take on different beautiful colors and a select few even can produce human forms at will.  If they feel threatened or perhaps would like to mingle with other creatures of their nature they will transform into their mortal forms to converse through tongue instead of their powerful minds.
