Charles Berglund
Charles immigrated to Minnesota in 1871.  He was a shoemaker in Sweden.  Charles worked in the forests, bought an 80-acre farm in 1885 from the Issac Jacobson family, and married Martha Benson in 1886.  They had 8 children: G. Fred, ALbert, Edwin, Elvira, Arthur, Emmett, Esther, and Herbert.  They were berry farmers and later expanded and started a dairy herd.  Charles was on the school board for Dist. #66.  They eventually had two hundred and sixty-five acres of land.
