Maximum Risk once again finds Jean-Claude playing two roles: Alain Moreau and Mikhail Suverov. Natasha Henstridge plays Mikhail's girlfriend Alex Bartlett, and Zach Grenier is bad guy Ivan Dsazokhov. See, the thing is 32 years ago, Jean-Claude's on-screen mother didn't have enough money to support two children, so she kept the baby Alain and Mikhail was adopted by a Russian family. Later Mikhail was involved in the Russian mob, but he kept money away (lots and lots of money) in a safe-deposit box in Nice, France (where Alain and his mother live) because the plan was to ditch the Russian mob and live with all the money with his girlfriend (Natasha Henstridge) and his brother and mother. Well, that's not what happened, some crooked F.B.I. guys, who were working with the Russian mob, new that Mikhail also had a detailed list that outlined the entire Russian mob and tried to get it from him but ended up killing him in the chase when Mikhail was is Nice trying to reach his brother and mother.
Alain then finds the body of his estranged brother and assumes his identity and goes back to America to find his killers. And in this movie you get to see Natasha Henstridge's tits! Oooh, they are nice...not Nice...nice. This is an excellent movie. You have to see it if you want to understand it completely. But don't miss it, great action, lots of good fighting. The origional title for "Maximum Risk" was "Bloodstone", then it was "The Exchange" but later it was changed to something a little more Jean-Claude Van Damme-like...you know...."Maximum Risk".
