11/1/04 -I'm getting my dose of hockey despite the NHL being in a lockout. Last Friday I went to see the Griffins lose to Chicago. I loved every minute up to the disappointing end. I've also been watching "The Best of the Red Wings" on Fox Sports Net. It brings me back to when the Red Wings used to win Playoff games. -I deleted Linux from my computer once again. I bought an old Dell for under $50, and I plan to turn it into a Linux machine. I would like to find a way to share the Internet Connection between my WinXP machine and the Linux machine. Most information tells you how to use Linux as a server, but that's not what I'm trying to do. -Got Chevelle's new CD, This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In. I give it a 5 out of 5! Simply Awesome.
10/4/04 Much has happened since my last post. -I met a girl. Then got dumped (or something like that). -I built my parents a new computer. They haven't really thanked me, but I can tell that they are awed by its speed, and all the goodies I put on it. Oh well. -I got rid of Mandrake and installed Fedora Core 1. This installed much easier, and the bootloader actually works perfectly without me having to go into BIOS. I have sound also. But I won't have internet until I either buy a new HPNA PCI card (which decent ones are almost impossible to find) or run ethernet cable from the modem in the other room. It's not looking good. |
