Leonardo Lives! A study of Da Vinci from three perspectives |
This year our TAG unit focuses on the work of Leonardo da Vinci. His works and ideas will serve as an inspiration as we explore his varied themes of discovery. Because of his diverse interests, Leonardo is a wonderful example of how students can be well-rounded and excel in many different areas. Our theme is "Systems" and the overall goals for the unit are: * To study Leonardo and his exceptional ability to solve problems through creativity, curiosity, observation, and perseverance. * To guide students to a broader understanding of math, science, technology, and art and how these disciplines interrelate. * To encourage students to see themselves as young "Leonardos" using their own inherent abilities. As with all lessons in the Center, we will extend the PWCS curriculum, Marzano Strategies, and the Va. SOLs . |
