Dear SIGNET Parents and Students: Welcome back to another exciting school year! We are expecting many new faces at the Center and some familiar ones as well. Things are gradually getting organized and plans made. All we need now are children to make the action begin. Our new student orientation will be Wednesday evening, September 10th, from 7:00-8:00 P.M. Parents and new students are invited to attend in order to hear about our plans for the school year.(Sorry returnuing fifth graders, you’ll just have to wait. There will be a series of Family Nights this year, beginning in October, so you will have an ample opportunity to share your Center experience with your parents.) Attached, you will find a calendar with the scheduled attendance days for your school, as well as some important dates to remember. With all of the busy schedules we keep, you may want to mark your planners now. Please return the permission forms and emergency card IN THE MANILA ENVELOPE with your child on the first day he/she attends the Center. The permission forms and emergency card are mandatory for your child’s attendance. DIRECTIONS TO LAKE RIDGE ELEMENTARY SCHOOL From Prince William Parkway: Take the Prince William Parkway to Old Bridge Road. Turn right and stay on Old Bridge Road until you reach the stop light at Hedges Run Drive. Turn left on Hedges Run Drive and continue .8 mile to Lake Ridge Elementary School on your left. From Minnieville Road: Take Minnieville Road to Old Bridge Road. Follow Old Bridge Road until you reach the stoplight at Hedges Run Drive. Turn right on Hedges Run Drive and continue 0.8 mile to Lake Ridge Elementary school on your left. |
| The following is a checklist of items you will want to have with you on your first day at the Center: ___ Completed Program Permission Form (signed) ___ Completed Bus Permission Form (signed) ___ Completed Media Release Form (signed) ___ Completed Emergency Card * IT IS VERY IMPORTANT FOR YOU TO HAVE A LOCAL EMERGENCY PHONE NUMBER * ___ Loose Leaf Paper and (6) Pencils to leave at the Center ___ Three (3) pocket folders (with 2 pockets) ___ A nutritious snack ___ Lunch or Lunch Money. ____ A large roll of paper towels (If your last name begins A-L) ___ A box of Kleenex (If your last name begins M-Z ) ___ An inquisitive mind ___ A smiling face We look forward to meeting new students and parents on the 10th.
