I thought I found
The one for me
And not a dream
For all to see

Life was easy
Before he came
Only lonliness
Became to blame

For being with you
Love came into sight
And I knew everything
Would be all right

Now it seems that
It all maybe a dream
For you and me
To only scheme

I hope the dream
May come true one day
For you and me
And that day is today

It's Hard to be Second Best

It's hard to be in the shadow of her,
Always trying to be better,
But never quite sure,
If better will be quite enough.

Your world revolved around
Everything she did
And everything she found
Until one day she left you for someone else.

Now that you have a new love,
And things are going swell
And life is as free as a dove
You want more than second best.
