Thanksgiving

Tis a funny word
A word that means so much
Tis a funny word
A word that means so little

For what to be thankful for?
For each it has their own
Thankful for large and small
For reason is never really known

Thanksgiving
As I look upon this holiday
I think of things that affects my being
My family, friends and lover

My family grows with each passing year
My friends remain true in my heart
What can I say of my lover?
He brings warmth where there once was a chill

Grandchildren grow
New ones are made
New friends and old
Bring happiness and cheer

As the years past
And today ends
I reflect once more
On the things I am thankful for

Family, Friends and a lover e’er so kind

Under the Lover’s Sky

As she looks up into the starry night
He crosses her mind
As the comet crosses the sky
His smells so sweet, His words so kind

She often thinks of him
Holding her tight
As she wraps her arms around her shoulder
She feels his arms as if he were there

The soft breeze blows
In the warm night air
Caressing her cheek
Like his kisses so tender

He is her knight
Her protector and kindred spirit
She feels him day and night
And hears him whisper her sweet name

She knows that they will always be connected
Under the lover’s sky
Two hearts beat as one
Even though the are miles apart
