Paradise Meadows Hike at Mt. Washington
			We meet at the Starbucks at Country Club Mall on Sunday, June 17th, at 7:00am. We will arrange car-pooling at that time based on who shows up and with what vehicles. It is app. a 1 hour drive to the trail-head at Mt. Washington. You will need: 1. Hiking boots or very good outdoor shoes (there will be snow in some spots and the trail may be wet in places too) 2. Extra pair of socks 3. Backpack ( to carry lunch, snacks, water, extra clothes, camera gear etc.) 4. Lunch, snacks, water or beverages 5. Bug juice and Sunscreen 6. Light rain jacket and layers of clothing (weather and temperatures change quickly in the mountains) 7. Bear bells or whistle if you have them This is a 7 km hike through beautiful alpine meadows, large Douglas Fir forests, and past 2 mountain lakes. There are no major hills to climb and we will take a very slow pace with lots of stops for pictures, snacks, lunch, etc. There are two washrooms (read outhouses) along the trail as well.
