~A different kind of Love~
Happy Valentine's Day 2000

"For God so Loved the World that he gave His only begotten Son. That whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16 !!!

Have you ever considered what LOVE is?
"GOD is Love"
~1 John 4:16~

If you are a Christian, He is a part of you.
You are a "NEW" creation. "Behold all things have become new." Shouldn't that LOVE be evident in our life? Shouldn't that kind of LOVE be our example?

Let's take the Chapter TEST
1 Corinthians 13 is known to Christians as the "LOVE" chapter.
Insert "Your Name" in the "LOVE" chapter. 1 Corinthians 13.

"And now I will show you the most excellent way. If I speak in the tongue of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.

"Your Name" is patient, "Your Name" is kind. "Your Name"  does not envy, "Your Name" does not boast, "Your Name" is not proud. "Your Name" is not rude, "Your Name" is not self seeking, "Your Name" is not easily angered, "Your Name" keeps no record of wrongs. "Your Name"  does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. "Your Name" always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres "Your Name" never fails."

How did you do?

May This Special Valentine's Day Bring You LOVE and JOY and HOPE And PEACE!

Don't despair. Maybe this is something you should consider working on.
From now on you can use this test as a measuring stick
for how we are to "LOVE" others.

"And now these three remain:
Faith, Hope, and Love.
But the greatest of these is Love."
~1 Corinthians 13:13~

Love is the greatest of these qualities......
but what do you know about the other qualities.

Lets look at what the Bible says about "Faith and Hope"

FAITH: "FAITH is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things unseen."~Hebrews 11:1~ Just as 1 Corinthians 13 is the "LOVE" chapter, Hebrews 11 is the "FAITH" chapter. "And without FAITH it is impossible to please GOD, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." ~Hebrews 11:6~ I think that these scriptures say it all.

HOPE: "HOPE deferred makes the heart sick"~Proverbs 13:12~ If no HOPE makes you sick, then what does "HOPE" do? "but those who HOPE in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." ~Isaiah 40:31~ Isn't that an AMAZING promise from the Lord? "For in this hope we were saved. But HOPE that is seen is no HOPE at all. Who HOPES for what he already has? But if we HOPE for what we do not yet have, we wait patiently." ~Romans 8:24-25~

Here are just a few of the many Bible verses about

"LOVE"

"In this is love, not that we loved God, but he loved us and gave his Son . . . " ~1 John 4:10~

"For God so loved the world he gave his one and only Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
~John 3:16~

"God showed his love for us in this, that while
we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
~Romans 5:8 ~

There are many, many verses about "LOVE" in the Bible.
It is so important for Christians to read the Bible.
Many have said that the Bible is God's "Love Letter" to us.

Do you read the Bible? Do you know what it says about God's love for us? Don't take my word for it, you need to dig into the scriptures for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Elizabeth Barrett Browning

How do I love thee ? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,-I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life !--and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Real Love will wait for marriage.

Please DON'T buy into the LIE of "If you Love me you will do it".

It is so important to be "equally yoked".

If you are a Christian ~ WAIT for the Lord's BEST for YOU!
He cares about you and He will guide your steps
and your heart IF you let Him.

For Valentine's Day SacredHeart would like to give you a present.
It is the most important gift we can give you.
It is the most expensive gift you will ever receive.
The value is priceless.
Of course we could give you candy or a card.
You don't have to accept my gift but I would like you to at least unwrap it before you decide whether you will accept it or not.

If you do accept this gift, you don't have to shake it or worry about the calories. You won't even have to tear the wrapping paper.

The Gift Is

God's Love

Love is very patient and kind, never jealous or
envious, never boastful or proud, never haughty or
selfish or rude. Love does not demand its own
way. It is not irritable or touchy. It does not hold
grudges and will hardly even notice when others
do it wrong. It is never glad about injustice, but
rejoices whenever truth wins out. If you love
someone you will be loyal to him no matter what
the cost. You will always believe in him, always
expect the best of him, and always stand your
ground in defending him.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7
