Sacred Heart Newsletter
I wanted to start a Sacred Heart Newsletter online because I love the Sacred Heart. I want everyone to know the love of Jesus and share it with the whole world.
Jesus loves us so much and wants us to love Him in return. He even waits for us to visit Him in the Blessed Sacrament. I want all of us to be Apostles for Jesus and show His love in everything we do. God is love!!! I hope through the Sacred Heart Newsletter that the world will become more spiritual and love Jesus more and more!!!
The Sacred Heart of Jesus is not simply an organ
in Christ's Body that pumps His Blood. The Sacred Heart of Jesus is where God's love for us and Christ's love for His Father and for us meet and are shown to us.
The Prophet Jeremiah in chapter 31 prophesied," The days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah....I will place my law within them, and write it upon their hearts; I will be their God and they shall be my people" (Jer 31.31, 33) This
prophecy is fulfilled fully in the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In the Sacred heart of Jesus the justice and holiness which God desires to see in every human heart is present (See John Paul II Redemptor Hominis 9.1) This Heart was totally obedient to the Father even to the point of death on the Cross (see Phil.2) The Father's plan is to make our hearts like Christ's ( see Ezekiel 36.22-38 esp 36.25-27)
To His Sacred Heart, the Lord Jesus invites all who listen.
"Come to Me... and I will give you rest. Take up My yoke and learn from Me for I am meek and humble of Heart." (Mt 11.28-29) To His Eucharistic Heart (Eucharistic miracles when analyzed all show the fleshy substance of Host is heart muscle) He invites us both to come and eat of his Flesh and Drink of His Blood in the Eucharist (Matt 26. 26-28) as well as to stay and pray with Him for a while (see Matt 26.40) in Eucharistic Adoration. He invites us to learn from him as disciples-as his beloved-and follow his path of righteousness ( Mt. 11. 28 see also the whole of Sermon on the Mount Matthew 5-7). He invites us to His pierced side, the Heart pierced out of love for us (see Jn 19. 31-37) that we might be washed in the Blood of the Lamb and drink deeply from the Cup of his Blood shed for all and, to drink deeply of the Spirit (see
JN 7. 37-39)
Inspiration
THIS IS MY FATHER'S WORLD
This is my Father's world,
And to my list'ning ears,
All nature sings,
And round me rings
The music of the spheres.
This is my Father's world,
I rest me in the thought
Of rocks and trees,
Of skies and seas -
His hand the wonders wrought.
This is my Father's world,
The birds their carols raise,
The morning light,
The lily white,
Declare their Maker's praise.
This is my Father's world,
He shines in all that's fair;
In the rustling grass
I hear Him pass,
He speaks to me ev'rywhere.
This is my Father's world,
O let me ne'er forget
That though the wrong
Seems oft so strong,
God is the ruler yet.
This my Father's world,
Why should my heart be sad?
The Lord is King -
Let the heavens ring:
