The Cypris Lair!
Vanya's wanderings brought him to a wonderful locale, which was known as the Cypris page...
He'd heard of them. In fact, he'd seen a couple of them in fashionable starfaring socities. But this time he was in luck. There was a very small clutch available and he was determined to find a good friend to rest with, while he wandered this particular world.
A creature who would wander, or sleep, or perhaps guard, when needed.
The Cypris Syriiu seemed to encourage him to find an egg from among the nesting sands. How an egg bearing creature could be so amazingly mammalian, was beyond him, but then again, he had seen much stranger things, he'd in fact Bred some of them! Some were his closest friends!
Vanya chose a pale egg, and was urged on by Little Engell and Iza. They too would be finding a friend perhaps, if this egg would hatch into something that wouldn't want to eat them first!
Syriiu assured Vanya, and reassured the flits, that her offspring would not be eating them. They might perhaps give chase, but nothing more serious.
Relieved, Vanya held on to the egg and kept it pleasantly warm, while lounging in the afternoon sun.
He could hear within was a heartbeat, strong and healthy. This creature would be beautiful and large, and he would love it, whatever it would turn out to be. He doubted that it would be exactly like Syriiu, however he'd seen so many variations on color and personality, that he would find a friend in any case.
He relaxed in the breeze, and waited.
This colorful fellow is a Flame Cypran! Hatching out of this beautiful egg above, he took Vanya by complete surprise!
"Never more curious, never more bold!" Vanya said as the little fire colored cub came out of the shell!
He gave off a barking howl, holding his tails up in the air waving like flames, and Vanya named him Pillar!
"You have this beautiful pillar of flames for a tail, don't you?" He said, and Pillar barked his agreement.
Iza and Engell watched this with amusement. This cub was obviously going to be taking a lot of their Zekiran friend's time! Well, at least they could perch on its tails!
With the other creatures to help him, Vanya tended Pillar through his youth. This beautiful boy soon learned that he could make Iza and Engell dance and play with him by chirping and barking sweetly. A short time later, the three of them have taken to resting and playing, eating and exploring together.
Vanya knows they will find a new play mate this way, too. He wouldn't mind checking back to see if there is another Cypran clutch waiting...
And he's in luck! After returning to the Cypran area and meeting up with beautiful Syriiu, we've gotten a new egg! Now Pillar and Vanya and the little flits will have more responsibility as the egg hardens and grows. Neither knows what color the egg will hatch!
The EGG has HATCHED!!
