Now, the Zekirans I love are leaving the world, off to visit new places and people, to find a world to colonize like our ancestors did so long before I was born.
I will go with them, in a way. Many of my children are Outsiders, Immortals and, well, just too stubborn to up and die.
I still visit with Vanya, though he often no longer recognizes me. He believes my spirit to be devoid of power any more, power which provides we dead Zekirans with the energy we need to pester the living.
He does not know we still watch him, though we may not have enough energy left to help him heal, or to protect him from harm. We watch and we still forgive him for what he had to do...
