Besides teaching and coaching, Alex Varden arranges and composes music, as well.
Recently he wrote a score for a Latvian art movie, which has been nominated at the British Film Festival in Los Angeles this year.
Together with talented Disney producer David James they have finished an animated children book: "Boris, the Bigfoot Detective".
Work has started on an animation "Alex in Under-land", a musical tale about a young camel who goes to Australia to find his parents.
A musical comedy "Buff & Brassy" with MENSA producer Rich Kapnick has been finished, and work on "Give me Music, Music!" has begun.
A new musical "Out There!" with stellar soprano Dale Kristien, Tony award Bill Hutton, and TV actor Tom Bosley has been arranged and ready to go on Broadway soon.
Songwriter Dennis G., Irene N., Tom K., Linda D., Miss Universe, Brooks Twins, Calvin B. (Xcedera), rock singer Chris Allen, and others are honing their musical inspirations at Varden Music Studio.

Musical director, singer, pianist, vocal coach, and composer Alex Varden was born in Latvia, (former USSR.)
His singing career started on TV at age of four, and his musical talent has been honed throughout USSR, Europe, Canada, Australia & USA.
16 years of musical education culminated into Master of Arts in Music. After graduating the Music Academy of Latvia, Alex served in Soviet Army as a rock band leader.
After service worked as a musical director at the State University of Latvia, directing award winning folk ensemble "Dancis" and a rock band "Inversia".
A few years later he was nvited to join the State Musical Theatre of Latvia, where he worked as an singer/actor and vocal coach as well. At the same time Alex also worked as a lead actor/singer at the Riga Film Studios.
In 1982 Alex came to USA. First two years he traveled throughout the USA, Canada and Australia with his one-man-show, but in 1985 settled down in sunny California.
At first he worked as an accompanist at the Stanley Holden Dance Studios, then as an accompanist and a teacher at the High-school for Performing Arts, and later as a musical director at the Cal State University of Los Angeles.
Together with chairman of the Theatre department prof. Maris Ubans he staged musicals: "Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat", "Guys and dolls" and "Paint your Wagon".
Now prof Varden teaches at his home in West Hollywood.
He arranges, writes, records music, and maintains a select list of privately tutored students, including 2 Star Search winners, Miss Universe, and many Pop, Jazz, R&B, Musical Theatre, and Classical performers.
