as i lean back
with
my head against
the pillow of
the bark of the tree
i'm just left of centre
in orange and blue
and you kneel
before me
almost worshipping
though not quite
because i'm the one
who is normally
beginning to pray
right about now.
but instead
i was just
saying thanks
for this wonderful night
with the starts all alite
and i'm out here in nature
the breeze on my skin
where it don't susually
get in
and the dark all around
with our island
of trees
protecting us
and
we're
surrounded by a sea
of perfect grass
and i was thinking how safe
i felt with you
and happy that
i was being kissed by you
in that manner
and i was almost not listening
to the matter at hand
and
i was certainly not thinking
'do i even think i can?"
when i suddenly began
to just implode
on you
and there was nothing
i could do.
but implode.
