Created the first online Streaming Media Marketplace on the web. Consulted for large enterprises (FORTUNE 500) in the areas of ECDN, live events, corporate communications, TV broadcast,

technology, industry research and more. Clients include Microsoft, Hewlett Packard, Wells Fargo,

PBS, ABN AMRO Bank, Schwab, NHL, CHP/CalTrains, Grace Cathedral, Trinity Church

ABN AMRO Bank – Vice President (Director of Streaming Media) 05/03 – 04/04

Developed and implemented an internal streaming network (ECDN) and streaming portal for ABN AMRO Bank which is used in more than 35 countries around the world. Evaluated numerous technology vendors for streaming media and internal collaborations. Tested software, hardware and created guidelines with EDS for internal streaming content delivery networks. Created video and audio streaming content during conferences, road shows, and internal presentation for the Working Capital BU. Worked on web development projects, web outsourcing and web and streaming hosting. Evaluated telecommunication and conferencing providers, solutions and services for WoCa. Worked with head office’s corporate communications on web site standards and guidelines.  Managed the design of prototype web sites designs for internal and external sites and content management system, which were later used by the head office for the new Working Capital web site re-launch.  

               

 

ITN SignalStream, VP, Chief Information and Internet Officer ’99 to 05/02

Lead architect responsible for design and implementation of core computing infrastructure including corporate LAN, VPN, Windows topology, file and print services, virus protection, disaster recovery, e-mail services, web mail, wireless emails, scheduling, Internet access, web servers, streaming servers, multicasting, video encoders, wireless LAN’s, video conferencing, firewalls, VOIP, ups and remote access services.

 

·                 Build out of Corporate Headquarters and NY Offices including: data center design, media hub for streaming clients including Akamai, IBeam, SpeedEra, StreamPipe, E-Net Live, EdNet. Core network service design, infrastructure migration, facilities build out, and telecommunications implementation. Created and maintained standard server specification including hardware and OS configurations. Procured, installed, and maintained all Windows servers for firm. Defined, maintained NT and e-mail administration policies. Provided 24x7 support for win2k, e-mail, VPN, network infrastructure, streaming clients and end users. ·                  Responsible for the development of ITN Signalstream’s Internet business model, managing key streaming and infrastructure partnerships, clients and strategic investors. Direct and built new models like OEM streaming services, managed streaming services, streaming exchanges – streamingexchange.com, streaming clearing house – buystreaming.com, corporate streaming service behind the firewall (aka ECDN), VOD for MSO’s. Evaluating, recommending, and building new streaming capabilities, interactive applications – ITN FUSION for the firm and its partners. Developed and managed ITN Signalstream’s corporate website and the streaming support web site.

 

·                   Managed the production of a three-tiered, web based application that incorporates streaming video software to deliver video, audio, synchronized slides, and voting surveys. This includes complex streaming environments, involving multiple concurrent live streams at various bandwidths, web based role applets as well as interactive audience feedback and live communication between audience and presenter. Managed and provisioned live and on-demand narrowband, broadband, and megaband webcasts in Windows Media, Real, and QuickTime on various CDN’s.  Troubleshoot and resolved problems related to live and MOD streaming issues. Coordinated and managed signal acquisition, encoders, video production resources, and Internet connectivity for live interactive webcasts and multicasts. Implemented new Internet /IP–controlled Broadcast cameras for Financial and corporate clients.

CarStation.com, CTO and Co-Founder ’98 After developing citygarage.com, my next project was the development of carstation.com, online sales of auto-body parts and accessories (more that 40,000+ sku's) The project expanded, and is now a startup company in San Francisco, CA. I created the framework, and built the base web site, which is now enhanced by a SQL server for dynamic page ordering and information retrieval.

 

Engmann Options  ‘96 Internet consulting and web design. Responsibilities included Internet consulting for the web site of Preferred Technology, competition monitoring, design and technical suggestions, data feeds, news, charts, and stock quote providing.
