I could get real technical here…but I am going to lay it out just as it is! Animal testing is torture, plain and simple! Companies poison them to death. They shave the animals' skin and expose it to corrosive substances. They place powerful chemicals in animals' eyes. All of this is done just for a "new and improved" cologne, dish-washing detergent, or toothpaste. Animals are routinely cut open, poisoned, and forced to live in barren steel cages for years, although studies show that because of vast physiological variations between species, human reactions to illnesses and drugs are completely different from those of other animals. Today's non-animal research methods are humane, more accurate, less expensive, and less time-consuming than animal experiments, yet change comes slowly and many researchers are unwilling to switch to superior technological advances. Animal experimentation not only is preventing us from learning more relevant information, it continues to harm and kill animals and people every year. I'll come right out and say it! Most of comes down to damn paycheck! A grant! The all mightily dollar!

While thousands of animals are killed every year in the United States in product tests, there is no law that requires these tests to be done, ll used on animals with the excuse that it’s so they won’t have lawsuits filed against them in the case of a human being hurt…you know, so they can put "warnings" on their labels! How do they do this? They take small kittens and put a tube down their throat and pump such things a oven cleaner into their tummies and see how long it takes for it to eat it'’ way through from the inside of the live kitten to the outside…they remove eyelids from rabbits and pour chemical or make up into their eyes to see the reactions it causes…isn’t that a lovely way to know that your make-up is not going to hurt your eyes!? It’s disgusting! Cell and Tissue cultures. Including organ and bacteria cultures, these methods provide cruelty-free alternatives to animal testing. Human cell cultures may be grown in the laboratory and provide a better medium for testing irritancy. One alternative to Draize Testing involves exposing a synthetic matrix of proteins to the test substance. Scientists can also clone sheets of human skin to predict irritancy. Computer Modeling. The US Food and Drug Administration and Environmental Agency use computer programs instead of animal testing. Computers can analyze anatomical systems, organ functions, study heart attacks and neuromuscular and nerve cell research.

Clinical and Epidemiological Surveys. Companies can use materials known to be safe from previous testing to eliminate further cruel and redundant testing. Clinical surveys use "human volunteers, clinical case studies, autopsy reports, and statistical analysis linked with clinical observation of disease"

Vivisection is the dissection of a living body, in this case of animals. This procedure is also known as animal testing. The ritual of vivisection is based on the need to gain information to cure human diseases such as diabetes, AIDS, arthritis, Alzheimer's disease and many more. These diseases are causing the most most massive, systematic and widespread destruction of human health ever known, with not a cure in sight. The reason?

Animals are different to humans in many ways, genetically, anatomically, physiology, emotionally and socially.
Therefore it is clear that we cannot base human medicine on veterinary medicine.
Humans have different reactions to drugs than animals, so why do we assume a drug is safe because it has been tested on animals?
Animals are not at all enough similar to humans to gain an understanding of medicine to be used on humans, yet in the U.S.A alone 100 million animals are tortured to death every year, to gain this so-called useful knowledge.
