The vows
Clergy:
To marry, or handfast is to form an equal partnership. Tied together by the bonds of spirit, emotion and love.
With the centering though of air. The grounding stability of the earth.
With the flowing emotion of water, and the desire and passion of fire,
This couple, in sight of the Lord & Lady, will bind their separate lives, into one
David, repeat after me:
David Repeats: I David, take thee, CloudDancer, to be my life mate. I vow to love, honor and care for you. To be truthful and faithful to, until death do we part
CloudDancer, do you accept David’s vows?
Cloud: I do
Clergy: David, place the ring on CloudDancer’s finger.
Cloud, repeat after me:
Cloud Repeats: I CloudDancer, take thee David, to be my life mate. I vow to love, honor and care for you. To be truthful and faithful to you until death do we part.
David, do you accept CloudDancer’s vow?
David: I do
CloudDancer, Place the ring on David’s
finger.
This was followed with the,
"by the power invested in me by the state of Indiana, I now pronounce you, husband & wife."
This was followed by David and Cloud hands bound together, jumping over their marriage broom.
