Poovar Island Resort, Trivandrum

Thirty three members from ten families participated in the picnic on 29th May 2005. The team started from the President's home at 2.15 pm and arrived at the ferry terminal by 3.15 pm. Two boats took to the members to the resort.

After tea and snacks, the members spent time in and around the swimming pool before assembling in the lawn for games. PC Thomas, Alex, Thomas Job and most of the kids ventured into the pool.

All members participated in the games, held first in the lawns and later in the hall. Games were conducted by Ceena, Asha, Jills and Jerry.

The cultural programme included songs by Annie, Asha, Dr. Joshua and Dr. Geetha. Ceena presented navarasangal. Aiswarya, Lisa and Merryl conducted a quiz.

The members congratulated Shilpa Sanil for the brilliant performance at the SSLC exam. Shilpa secured A+ for eight out of the 13 subjects and A for the rest.

Dinner was served at 8pm. The signs of a mild storm created moments of anxiety during the return boat journey.
