ScreenAlarm
ScreenAlarm is a unique utility to deliver alerts through the running screensaver. You'll never miss important event because of screensaver!
When your computer is idle your screensaver becomes visible and hides all notifications about incoming emails, to-do reminders etc. Have you ever been frustrated because of that? Now ScreenAlarm provides you with the possibility to use screensaver yet do not miss any important event.
You can instruct ScreenAlarm to monitor your computer and display icons whenever email is received (Microsoft® Outlook or any other MAPI client), message box is shown or file that you are interested in gets updated.
Eventually, ScreenAlarm could capture any event!

CheXpy
CheXpy is an easy-to-use utility that continually monitors a Microsoft® Visual SourceSafe database and notifies you when check-ins or check-outs occur.
Using CheXpy you'll never miss important changes to the codebase. During the day it routinely polls the database and informs you about any important events. You can turn off your computer, and once you start it the next day, CheXpy checks the files for you and notifies you if some of them have been updated while your computer was off-line.
YMonitoring SourceSafe with CheXpy is very intuitive and easy. Once you start up the program you can instruct CheXpy to keep an eye on the source files in which you are interested. Moreover, you don't need to have access to the server where the VSS database is located!

File spy (FreeFileSpy)
FreeFileSpy is an utility that automatically keep an eye on files you are interesting in, and shows messagebox if any of those files gets updated.
The utility uses:

DLL Reference Cleaner (DLLRefClean)
DLLRefClean searches Windows Registry and cleans up all references to DLL file appointed by the user.
Every VB developer faced situations when same DLL is listed more than one time in the list of the registered ActiveX DLL's. Broken or multiple installtions in different folders, bugs in installer, broken binary compatibilty during developing of ActiveX are only most common causes. This is a real pain for developer to identify which version should be added to the project, and the best way to avoid DLL conflict is clean up the registry and registered only last version of the DLL.
DLLRefClean does it for you.

RTF Picture Extractor
RTF Picture Extractor is a simple utility that extracts all images from RTF file and saves them into WMF files.
The Rich Text Format (RTF) is a method of encoding formatted text and graphics for easy transfer between applications. Currently, RTF format is widely used to move word-processing documents between different MS-DOS®, Windows, OS/2, Macintosh, and Power Macintosh applications.
An RTF file can include pictures created with other applications. These pictures can be in hexadecimal (the default) or binary format. However, it seems most of the pictures in RTF files are saved in default format (or at least Microsoft Word saves all pictures in this way when it saves file in RTF format).
With RTF Picture Extractor you can easily extract pictures from RTF file and save them into separate WMF files.
P.S.To run RTFPicEx.exe the VB runtime files must be installed in your Windows\System folder.
Besides, it uses Microsoft Common Dialog Control [COMDLG32.ocx] and Microsoft Rich Textbox Control [RICHTX32.ocx]
