Delaware Valley Fantasy Football League (est. 2001)

League History

The Delaware Valley Fantasy Football League was established in the year 2001 by Vince Blando.  2001 is listed as the first year although the League played the 2000 season on Yahoo! using an auto-draft system.  2001 is the first year we implemented a live draft (held in Frazer, PA).

League News (UPDATED 8/9/05)

The 2005 DVFFL Draft will be held on Sunday August 28, 2005 at 11am in the beautiful, scenic fringes of West Chester, PA at Casa de Blando.  Depending on the status of the arrival of Kid Commish, a poker game will be held after the draft for all those who would like to stay.  Last year's impromptu game was a lot of fun.

The Commish has lost the trophy.  Prior to this the biggest fear for the Commish was that the trophy would be awarded to someone who would leave the League, making it tough to get the trophy back.  The Commish is paying for the replacement, and it will be on hand to award to the 2005 Champ.  If the first trophy is found (and the Commish's house has been turned inside out trying to find it) it will be given to 2005 Champ Kevin Clemson to keep.

Congratulations to the 2004 DVFFL Champion Kevin Clemson!  Clemmy defeated first-year franchisee Chris Fries in the Finals of what was a very competitive season.

League dues will be $100.00 for the 2005 DVFFL season.   Payouts for next season will be posted once Sportsline announces the cost for league hosting... All League does are due on draft day with NO exceptions.

League Rules

The DVFFL plays a 14-game head-to-head regular season.  The League is broken up into three four-team divisions (chosen at random on draft day) with every team playing every other team in their division twice, and all other teams once.  Six out of the twelve teams advance to the playoffs.  All three division winners advance, and then the top three Wildcard teams.  A tie game in the playoffs will be awarded to the higher-seeded team.
